Overview

The SkyFile service allow users to transfer and store sensitive documents and data with Skytel Suisse. The data is stored offline and in an encrypted format in Switzerland.

How It Works

When you have sensitive or high consequence data to store, simply contact your Skytel Suisse representative and they will make the arrangements for the upload and storage.

Data storage and retrieval is carefully handled by Skytel Suisse trained personnel rather than by automated processes.

Only the client has access to the unencrypted data. Skytel Suisse personnel do not.

Once a user connects the Skytel Suisse Network, all data-in-transit is automatically encrypted. Origination and retrieval is always encrypted.

The Skytel Suisse Network is optimized for mobile devices. It uses very low bandwidth. Connection security is the same as on a normal computer.

Only the client has access to their unencrypted data. Skytel Suisse personnel do not. The Skytel Suisse network is designed this way. Client data is stored in an encrypted state until it is decrypted by the client or a user authorized by the client. The keys and passwords necessary to decrypt the data are always with the user and not with Skytel Suisse.

Email account, web connection, and any web browser normally used to view web pages.

Security In Transit

Skytel Suisse clients and their guests are directly connected to our network in Switzerland over secure connections. Each connection is encrypted using the highest standards utilized by the financial industry in Switzerland.

Security In Storage

Messages, communications, and data of Skytel Suisse users and guests are physically stored in Zurich, Switzerland.

Switzerland remains one of the few countries that respects its’ own privacy laws. It is also one of the few countries that criminalizes the unauthorized disclosure of client data.

For these reasons, Skytel Suisse users can rest assured that best efforts are in place on behalf of our service and the host country.

In the event of official inquiries or complaints regarding client accounts or client data, Skytel Suisse defers to Swiss Law and Swiss authorities without exception.

Disclosure abilities of Skytel Suisse are ultimately restricted to authorization from the client since all client data can only be decrypted by the client themselves.
