SkyText Service

Overview

The SkyText service allow users to exchange secure text messages with anyone, anywhere an internet connection is available.

Using SkyText, the ability to communicate privately is as easy as typing the message.

No knowledge of encryption or special software is required. Just connect to the network from a computer or mobile device, such as an iPhone, and send the message.

How It Works

When a SkyText client has a sensitive or high consequence communication to transmit, they simply connect to SkyText and send it. The recipient does not need to be a SkyText or Skytel Suisse client.

If the SkyText client needs to receive a sensitive communication, they simply direct their contact to their user page. From there, the contact can securely transmit a message to the client in a matter of moments.

User pages are easy to remember through name customization such as skytext.ch/you or can be generic such as skytext.ch/2hdjks

Skytel Suisse clients can receive messages from non-Skytel Suisse clients. Non-Skytel Suisse clients do not need to register or pay to exchange messages with Skytel Suisse clients.

Compatibility with any mobile device or computer with internet access more...

The Skytel Suisse Network is optimized for mobile devices. It uses very low bandwidth. Connection security is the same as on a normal computer.

Automatic message and contact encryption more...

Incoming and outgoing messages as well as users' contact books are automatically encrypted by the network.

Only the client has access to their own data more...

Only the client has access to their unencrypted data. Skytel Suisse personnel do not. The Skytel Suisse network is designed this way. Client data is stored in an encrypted state until it is decrypted by the client or a user authorized by the client. The keys and passwords necessary to decrypt the data are always with the user and not with Skytel Suisse.

Once a user connects the Skytel Suisse Network, all data-in-transit is automatically encrypted. Message origination and retrieval is always encrypted. If an encrypted connection cannot be established, the message will not be sent.

Each message or communication has a separate password which is set by the originator more...

The security of each message is completely independent of a users' other messages. The password of one message has no impact on other messages.

Security In Transit

Skytel Suisse clients and their guests are directly connected to our network in Switzerland over secure connections. Each connection is encrypted using the highest standards utilized by the financial industry in Switzerland.

Security In Storage

Messages, communications, and data of Skytel Suisse users and guests are physically stored in Zurich, Switzerland.

Switzerland remains one of the few countries that respects its’ own privacy laws. It is also one of the few countries that criminalizes the unauthorized disclosure of client data.

For these reasons, Skytel Suisse users can rest assured that best efforts are in place on behalf of our service and the host country.

In the event of official inquiries or complaints regarding client accounts or client data, Skytel Suisse defers to Swiss Law and Swiss authorities without exception.

Disclosure abilities of Skytel Suisse are ultimately restricted to authorization from the client since all client data can only be decrypted by the client themselves.
